KERATITIS
Treated by Dr.
Andréa Minella

Discover how Dr. Minella was able to alleviate Shea’s discomfort and improve her vision at our Long Island City location.

Shea, a 15-year-old Yorkipoo, was experiencing vision loss and had cloudy eyes, which significantly impacted her quality of life. Upon examination, Dr. Andrea Minella diagnosed Shea with moderately severe inflammation of her corneas, a condition known as keratitis.

The clouding of Shea's corneas was impairing her vision, and Dr. Minella promptly started a treatment regimen to address the issue. Shea was prescribed a combination of steroids and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications. These medications were essential in treating her active inflammation and preventing future flare-ups, as her condition was immune-mediated.

Shea's owner was incredibly dedicated to her care and was thrilled with the results of the treatment. The clearing of Shea's corneas and the improvement in her vision had a profound impact on her remaining time.

Shea's owner shared a touching note, saying, "You made a world of difference for her, and gave her her sight back."
